In July, Inhotim presents a program that brings together art, nature, education, memory, territory and public participation.
Throughout the month, the Institute will also be open on Tuesdays. Exclusive visits will continue to take place on Mondays, in small groups, offering an immersive experience between art and nature.
Highlights of the program include:
Mondays — July 6 and 20
The itinerary includes the Adriana Varejão, Nascente, Cosmococa, Fonte and Yayoi Kusama galleries. Among the outdoor works, visitors will see Troca-Troca, by Jarbas Lopes, and Gui Tuo Bei, by Zhang Huan. The route also includes the themed garden Largo das Orquídeas and features botanical highlights such as the Canary Island date palm, giant bromeliad and corypha palm.
Mondays — July 13 and 27
The itinerary includes Psicoativa Tunga, Galeria Praça, Grada Kilomba and Lygia Pape. Among the outdoor works are Viewing Machine, by Olafur Eliasson; Desert Park, by Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster; Abre a Porta, by John Ahearn and Rigoberto Torres; and Rodoviária de Brumadinho. The route also includes the themed gardens Viveiro Educador – Jardim de Todos os Sentidos, Jardim Desértico, Jardim de Transição, Meliponário and Vandário. Botanical highlights include philodendron, Brazilwood, octopus agave, canela-de-ema, jequitibá and ariri-mirim.
